Leon Røsten Odyssey – Kaleidoscope
I’m proud to present our newest single, recorded at Hvaler with these crazy cats.
It was a really spontaneous session, everything composed the week before and learned whilst recording.
I think this is what makes it so honest and organic, we’re truly working together as a team on this one, doing our best to make something special out of some simple ideas. Special thanks to Roman Cadafalch for the beautiful art work and Bendik Toming from Family Day Studios for such a creative and intuitive way of producing, mixing and mastering.
Have a listen, let us know what you think!

Leon Røsten Odyssey – A Day In A Life
“A Day in a Life” is out and available in online stores such as Spotify and iTunes as well as the physical CD which you can purchase by sending me an email.
This album was recorded in April 2017 in Family Day Recordings with the producer Bendik Toming.
For this album I had the pleasure of having Jeremy Paul on Drums and Håvard Tanner on Double Bass whom i both met at London Centre Of Contemporary Music, we’ve played together in various occations and worked collaboratively to create the repertoire for “A Day in a Life”. We have been playing more frequently as a trio the last year, including concerts, recording sessions, rehearsals and playing for Håvard’s final recital for his MA at Guildhall.
This is the third release I do with my own music, yet I think this is the most unplanned, spontaneous and free recording I’ve done so far. Bendik Toming has been great to work with adding samples and working with sounds and there is no better place to record than Family Day Recordings, as it simply makes sense to be out in nature on an island in Hvaler when recording this kind of music.

Leon Røsten Odyssey – Interpretations
“Interpretations” was recorded in August 2015 after spending a year writing and rehearsing with my trio whilst finishing my bachelors degree at London Centre of Contemporary music.
This album is a jazz piano trio album filled with compositions created with inspiration from many great jazz piano players as well as the impressionistic era in classical music.
The album was released February 2016, and it received great reviews.
“This enjoyable recording from pianist Røsten reels you in with thoughtful melodies and solos that really take their time to breathe” -Bird is The Worm
“It’s rare that we sit through an entire album on the first listen but when we heard echoes of Debussy and Ravel punctuated by a sensibility for harmony and rhythm that points to Leon’s Norwegian heritage we were absolutely hooked” -The Phaze Theory Collective
You can find this album on Spotify, Soundcloud, iTunes or order it from me personally.
